Quick and Easy Cards with Stack, Cut & Shuffle

If you are like me and have fun pattern paper hoarded away. If you are looking to make quick and easy cards, cards that can be mass produced for craft fairs or to be given as gifts.  I have the perfect technique for you to try out, the Stack, Cut & Shuffle!

With this technique you can create three or four quick cards, depending on how many sheets of pattern paper and how many pieces you cut that paper into.  I made three cards with three pieces of pattern paper and cutting them into three triangles, using the measurements shared by my friend Patty Bennett in her blog post from 8/26/23. However you can make four, just watch my friend Tammy's video linked below.

This technique can be used with any paper and today I used the autumn themed paper Gathering Together and some fun shapes from the Traditional Labels Dies.

Card Details:

Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" or 11" x 4 1/4"
Layer #1: 4" x 5 1/4"
Layer #2: Pattern Paper (3 designs) 5" x 3 3/4"
Layer #3: Card stock that fits the sentiment

Check out the video for tips on cutting your stacks and making sure they align perfectly on the card front.

Two Cards...One Sketch

Yesterday Tammy and I decided to feature a new Mojo Monday Sketch during our Teach it Tuesday Lives.  When looking at the sketch I thought it would be fun to feature some of my favorite Stampin' Up! pattern paper.  So I started playing with the Peaceful Garden DSP & the Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper, then I moved to the Modern Christmas Specialty paper.

I had so much fun creating these using the Mojo Monday Sketch #457.

There are two cards I shared in my video; one made before with the Peaceful Gardens paper and the second card was created on the video using the Modern Christmas Specialty paper.  The measurements are the same for each card with the exception of the circle I switched it up with dies from Nested Essentials.  All measurements are listed below.
  • Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" along the long side.
  • Layer #1: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Layer #2: 4" x 3 3/4"
  • Layer #3: 1 3/4" x 4 3/4"
  • Layer #4: 1 1/2" x 1" (Banner cut)
  • Layer #5: 2 1/4" circle (or whatever shape you choose)
